Welcome

The International Skills and Training Institute in Health (ISTIH) new portal ISTIH Volunteers4Health, a joint initiative with the Government of Western Australia's Department of Health, facilitates the appropriate placement of specialist health professionals with international volunteering opportunities. Once registered, members can create a profile, outlining their specialist skills and experience, search available volunteer listings and interact with other members through our forum. As a member, we’ll email you with new opportunities that match your specialist skills when they are posted.

ISTIH Volunteers4Health is open to individuals and organisations to post listings of available opportunities. So whether you’re an organisation looking for a new team member or an individual looking for others to accompany you on an assignment, ISTIH Volunteers4Health will help you find an individual with skills that match your requirements.

More than simply a place match people to positions, ISTIH Volunteers4Health provides members with a range of resources and links with information to assist in preparing you for living in a resource-limited country, where to acquire additional skills training opportunities and options regarding community service leave. All this information and more can be found under the ‘External Links’ tab.

ISTIH Volunteers4Health Forum is a great way to share and discuss your volunteer experiences, seek advice before you embark on your journey, and to get in contact with a range of other health professionals.
